Operation Spoke
Saturday 31st January 2015 between 1pm and 3pm Durham Police will be offer free bike marking at two locations in the Trimdon’s, Trimdon Village Hall andTrimdon Grange Community Centre.
Please bring along any bikes or scooters, you will need an email address and contact details to complete the process.

Youth Groups

Trimdon Station Community Centre has established Children and Young People services currently taking place on:
Monday – 4pm – 5.30pm for ages 11 – 15 years
Tuesday – 4pm – 6pm for under 11 years
Thursday – 4pm – 5.45pm under 11 years
Thursday – 6pm – 8pm 13+ years
All sessions are 50p


Foundry Parish Notice
Please clean up after your dog
Residents of the parish are still aggrieved with a minority or dog owners who allow their dogs to foul in public areas. Free dog bags are available at the Community Centre at Station Road for residents of the parish. Please use this service and help to keep our environment clear from this dreadful practice. Clean up after your dog with free dog bags and bin it in the nearest bin!

Garden Waste Reminder
Residents are reminded to sign up to the garden waste scheme this month to ensure they receive all collections this year. For an annual fee of £20, householders will receive fortnightly collections from their property between spring and autumn. You can join the scheme at any time during the year but to receive all 16 collections in 2015 you should sign up by 1 February. These will start in March for those signing up by this date. The Trimdon Colliery based amateur boxing club is holding an evening of boxing at Wingate on 19th February. Admission £12, pay at the door. Details on the poster or their Facebook page.

Doctors Surgeries
GP_Weekend_Opening
Dr Jones & Partners are holding Saturday morning surgeries at Harbinson House Sedgefield, between 8am and noon. If you require an urgent appointment on a Saturday morning ring 111 to book you a slot. Pre-booked appointments are also available, these can be booked at your local surgery. This service will run until the 25th March 2015.

Winter Car Safety Checks
Car safety checks, along with MOT’s, are carried out by qualified technicians and are available “while you wait’ at Durham County Council service centres. Details and prices here
