Former Trimdon resident disables bigger opponent

Anne Robson, former Trimdon residentA former Trimdon resident Anne Robson, a 1st Dan in the Japanese art of Shorinji Kempo , thrills the crowds at the 2004 Japanese festival in Vancouver, British Columbia, by disabling a bigger and stronger opponent using pressure point attacks.

 Anne is a shodan (1st dan) black belt in shorinji kempo. Anne and husband George started over 8 years ago at their local Buddhist temple.Anne Robson, former Trimdon resident Shorinji kempo is a non competitive martial art that teaches self defence, respect for others and co-operation.

The branch master is Sensei Masa Okuma, 5th dan , George
is branch manager and Anne is public relations manager.

Anne and George visited Trimdon in July, and like to keep in touch with the old place.
