Anne is a shodan (1st dan) black belt in shorinji kempo. Anne and husband George started over 8 years ago at their local Buddhist temple. Shorinji kempo is a non competitive martial art that teaches self defence, respect for others and co-operation.
The branch master is Sensei Masa Okuma, 5th dan , George
is branch manager and Anne is public relations manager.
Older people and women are encouraged to join this very effective method of self defence .
Anne and George visited Trimdon in July, and like to keep in touch with the old place. |
