Football star Colin Cooper, who was introduced by Cllr.Lucy Hovvels member of the Joint Trimdon Regeneration Partnership, opened the Proceedings.
He presented prizes to the winners of the poetry, picture and logo competitions
He stayed to sign autographs and give tips to the prospective football stars of the future who delighted everyone with a display of their soccer skills
| Local Organisations Support the Event
The sun shone and the people came in their hundreds to enjoy the various stalls and demonstrations on offer. Many of the local groups who work in Trimdon were represented at the Event.
The crowds were able to appreciate some of the opportunities available in the community. Many groups brought exhibits to demonstrate the talent existing within the people of Trimdon.
From blowing a trombone with young members of the Brass Band to the more delicate art form of lace making, there was something for everyone
The Painting for Pleasure group showed many fine examples of their work (right)
