Planning for the 25th Flower Festival in July is now well under way. As we intend to celebrate this milestone with an even better display of Flowers, our theme will be “Celebrate!”, so make sure you make a note of the dates – Friday, July 18th, Saturday July 19th and Sunday July 20th. We are delighted that Revd John Williams has agreed to conduct the service. It will be his first major one following his full ordination as priest in June.
You’ll be able to join Skerne folk on Friday, July 18th in the Red Lion, Saturday, July 19th will be the Fete on the Green (hopefully the weather will be much kinder than last year!!) and we’re hoping that Fishburn Brass Band will be able to entertain an audience in the Village Hall on the Saturday evening.
As always, villagers will be invited to make a donation towards the upkeep of our precious building through the distribution of Gift Day envelopes.
