TRIMDON UNITED JUNIORS NEWSLETTER 12
27th February 2007

This weekends game had been cancelled twice but we eventually played the match at Sedgefield Community College. The game started off well for Trimdon as we went on the attack from the kick off, but the more we went for goals the more the Barnard Castle keeper kept us at bay. Then on 25mins we got a free kick just inside the Barnard half. Up stepped Sam Noble, who sent in a thunderous free kick towards goal. The keeper scrambled across goal and somehow the ball went straight through his hands.
Half time 1-0
The second half Trimdon did not start as well as we normally do, and when Barnard Castle got a penalty, their No 9 stepped up and slotted it just under Keiran Storey. This goal brought Trimdon to life, we went on attack but we could not find our way past the defence and goal keeper of Barney. The game was by now going from end to the other, then with some good football from Barney they scored a goal to make it 1-2.
This in turn made Trimdon push up and try to get the equaliser but to no avail, then with the last 2 mins remaining, and most of the Trimdon players in the opposing half, Barney went on to score a third goal with there No 9 completing his hat trick. With some poor finishing in the first half Trimdon could have come away with the 3 points, but Barney put there chances away and that was the difference on the day.
Man of the Match for Trimdon Jonathan Clemmett & Ryan Willis
Final score 1-3  - good look to Barnard Castle for the remainder of the season.

This weekend we are away to Whinney Banks, kick off 11:00 am departing Community College 10:00am
