TRIMDON UNITED JUNIORS NEWSLETTER 18
30th May 2007

The season has finished, and what a season it was finishing 4th in our division

Well, there have been a couple of games played, the first game was a charity game against Mount Pleasant from Darlington and was played on 13th May. This game was played at home, and we lost 3-5, however the game was end to end and chances went begging for either team. There is still an another game to be played at Mount Pleasant’s ground and I am confident of winning. This is a charity match in aid of cancer research - we have organised a trophy for the winners.
PS any donations are most welcome

Sunday gone we had a friendly game against 21st All Stars who play in Teesside Junior Alliance Div 1.  The game started very brightly for Trimdon with the men playing deep in 21st’ half for most of the first half. With few chances the score at half time was 2-0 in Trimdons favour, Kieran Storey scoring a volley on the edge of the box, and then with five minutes of the half remaining Callum Findlay danced his way down the left wing and smashed home number 2.

Second half Trimdon just went for the kill, with Ryan Willis finishing off a good move involving several players with a simple tap in to make it 3-0. Then with another fine run Callum Findlay - who was in outstanding form - added his 2nd goal and Trimdons 4th. The 61st minute saw Sam Noble, who had just been told he was being subbed off in the next 5 mins, place a perfect pass for Louis Cudworth to score, and this ended with him getting a reprieve. Eight minutes later Trimdon were awarded a free kick 25yds out, and up stepped Sam Noble who placed the ball, waited for the wall to be lined up, then just smashed the ball past the diving keeper, making it 7-0 to Ttrimdon . There was a consolation goal for the All Stars, making the final score 7-1
