Simple steps to ensure problem-free registration
First step, click on the ‘Register’ link on the Forum page.
This takes you to an Agreement page, which basically just confirms that you will not misuse the forum in any way. If you are 13 years or over, choose the first link after the agreement terms.
Note: Under 13’s must have the permission of a Parent or Guardian to join the forum.
The registration form itself is very simple - the only items you must fill in are
shown in red below:
Username:
Choose the name by which you want to be known on the forum. It doesn’t need to be your real name - a nickname will do.
Email:
Enter your CORRECT email address ( one you can check easily ) in full.-see below**
Password:
choose a password which you can remember easily. Trimdon Times does not have access to your password, as it is encrypted to prevent account misuse.
Confirmation Code:
Read the numbers/letters from the grey box and enter them as your confirmation code.
All the items below this on the registration form can be ignored if you don’t understand them.
Of course, if you want to add ICQ, Instant Messenger or other details please do so, but otherwise please leave the boxes blank.
You can add your own website address if you have one, also you can indicate where you live and your occupation if you want to - it’s entirely up to you.
Signature: This is simply a text message that you can add to the bottom of any messages you post. It can be left blank, or make up your own ‘catchphrase’.
Settings below this change only if you know what the options mean.
When finished, click ‘Submit’.
**The final - important - stage is now to check your email account.
The Trimdon Times sends an automated email from 
to the address that you entered at the beginning of the form.
Please ensure any anti-spam software will allow mail from this address
Due to problems caused by junk mail senders, all registrations are checked first to see if they look genuine, before they are activated. This is usually carried out within an hour or two, unless you register in the middle of the night UK time!
If by chance your account isn’t active within a reasonable time, please contact us
That’s it - all you need do now is log in to the forum using your Username and Password
